OUR HR PRACTICES

Vishwak promotes an open work culture, where employees can make things happen and in the process, discover and utilize their potential. Vishwak uses innovative initiatives and offers generous rewards to appreciate and motivate employees. Some examples are:

Idea Acceptance Reward

This initiative rewards an employee who comes up with a new idea or a proof of concept beneficial to the organization. This award is also designed to develop the employee’s proficiency.

Employee of the Month

This initiative is a reward for the employees’ excellence in their mission. Any achievement made or additional efforts put in by the employees in their assigned tasks that result in customer satisfaction or process improvement is recognized and rewarded suitably through this program.

On the Spot Recognition

Vishwak recognizes exceptional work done by a Vishwak team member on the spot by presenting the member with a T-shirt that says “I’m appreciated”.

Zero Error in Updates

This initiative is an award given to developers who manage and update high traffic websites. This is awarded when, as the name implies, they achieve zero errors while managing and updating content.

Code Camp Workshop

This initiative is a common platform for employees to share the new technical ideas they have. This facilitates a high degree of brainstorming, peer discussion and review, ultimately enhancing the value of an idea.

Company-sponsored Certification

As part of this initiative, Vishwakians are encouraged to take up Microsoft certification exams. Vishwak reimburses the exam fees for employees who clear the exams. In addition, Vishwak provides a monetary incentive to successful candidates.

Open Door Policy

At Vishwak, we follow a consistent open door policy. What this policy means is that any team member is free to walk in to the cabins of Senior Management at any time. Response from Senior Management is immediate. An email to the CMD is guaranteed to get a response within a business day.

Coffee With Venkat

Coffee with Venkat is a novel and interesting initiative in our set of Best Practices. This is a bi-monthly event normally held on the first Saturday of a month. A few randomly selected team members spend an hour over coffee to have an informal chat with the CMD on non-work related items.

Mentoring

At Vishwak, we strongly believe in grooming team members for bigger roles. Senior members play a central role in this process by taking up effective mentoring roles. In fact, mentoring is an integral part of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) set for senior team members.
